The Delta Dental of Iowa Board of Directors has nine members, with six subscriber directors and three dentist directors. The Board meets four times per year and has an annual planning retreat. Board members serve three-year terms and are eligible to be elected to four terms. Current Delta Dental of Iowa Board of Directors include:

Board Chair: Tom Aller is the President of Interstate Power and Light Company,
an Alliant Energy company located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He is a graduate of Creighton University
where he studied political science. He completed his MA in Municipal Administration from the
University of Iowa.
Vice-CHair: John Kearns, DDS, is a practicing dentist at Fleur Dentistry
in Des Moines. He received both his Bachelors of Science and his Doctor of Dental Surgery
degree from the University of Iowa. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago.
Treasurer/Secretary: Cheryl Harding is Vice President and Chief Operating
Officer of Delta Dental of Iowa. Cheryl is a graduate of The Ohio State University. Cheryl
joined Delta Dental in 2007.
Donn Hutchins is the President and CEO of Delta Dental of Iowa. Donn
received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Vermont and his MBA from the
University of Virginia. Donn has been with Delta Dental of Iowa since 1999.
C. Edward Brown, is the CEO of The Iowa Clinic, P.C. and The Iowa Clinic
Management Company, L.L.C. in Des Moines. Brown is a graduate of the University of
Evansville and received his Master's in Health Administration at Washington University,
St. Louis. 
Anne Hennessey, DDS, is a practicing dentist in her dental office in
Cedar Falls, Iowa. She received a Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of
Iowa and completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Iowa.
Merritt Krause is the President of Iowa Bankers Insurance & Services,
Inc. in Des Moines. He completed his Bachelor of Business Administration degree at the
University of Iowa. Merrit is a licensed insurance agent in Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin
and Illinois.
Renie Neuberger is an independent business consultant. She was formerly
the Executive Director of the Iowa Equity Fund as well as the Vice President of Finance
and Administration for the Neighborhood Finance Corporation. She holds a Bachelor of
Business Administration from Iowa State University.
Jeff Plagge is the President of Northwest Financial Corp. in Arnolds Park.
Jeff received his Bachelor of Science degree from Iowa State University and completed
graduate school in banking in Colorado.
William Wever, DDS, practices general dentistry at Integrity Dental in
Columbus City and is a graduate of the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. He is a
member of adjunct faculty at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry Department of
Preventive and Community Dentistry in the Special Care Clinic.
