Now through an association with EyeMed Vision Care, Iowa participating dentists, office staff and their family members have access to a vision care discount program at no cost. Effective March 1, 2010, the hawk-i program will be expanded to cover "medically necessary" orthodontic benefits to hawk-i plan members. Currently, Delta Dental of Iowa is the sole carrier of dental benefits for the hawk-i program. A hawk-i only orthodontic provider panel is being developed to provide the covered orthodontic procedures. Although you may or may not participate in the Delta Dental Premier network, you must sign the Delta Dental Participating hawk-i Orthodontic Services Agreement to participate in the hawk-i only orthodontic provider panel.
