Does One Size Fit All? PPO vs. Premier

By Jill Hamilton on October 9, 2014 in Insurance

Which Delta Dental network is right for you? PPO or Premier?

Whether you're already a Delta Dental member, a soon-to-be member or a prospective member, you might not know about the dentist networks within Delta Dental. We have two dentist networks – PPO and Premier. So, how does each network function? Sure, we could have a single network, but one size doesn't fit all. Much like Goldie Locks, it's important to find the Delta Dental network that's just right for you.

PPO

Delta Dental PPO, our preferred provider organization plan, offers our lowest contracted fees and the greatest opportunities for you to save. You receive the greatest benefits and lower out-of-pocket costs when you visit a Delta Dental PPO dentist.

Premier

Delta Dental Premier dentist network includes 90 percent of the dentists in Iowa and 80 percent of the nation's dentists. These dentists have agreed to accept Delta Dental's set fees for dental procedures, and can't bill you above that amount. This offers you protection and peace of mind.

Both Delta Dental Premier and PPO dentists will file claims for you – so that's one less to-do for YOU. There's something out there for everyone. Regardless of which Delta Dental plan you choose, you're always going to have a wide selection of dentists.
