Spring CE Registration
Delta Dental of Iowa will be hosting two continuing education (CE) courses this spring.
Update in prevention and caries arrest
presented by Dr. Margherita Fontana
This presentation will provide an overview of currently accepted, evidence-based and/or expert opinion recommendations for the management of dental caries lesions, with a focus on lesion arrest. Discussions will be centered on current concepts for caries lesion detection (e.g., cavitated and non-cavitated lesions) and diagnosis (e.g., active vs. arrested lesions), including thresholds for non-surgical and surgical interventions, caries tissue removal (selective caries removal, no caries removal, Hall crowns, etc.), with a focus on non-restorative strategies for caries lesion control (e.g., fluorides-including SDF, sealants, infiltration, etc.).
Dr. Margherita Fontana is a leading expert in prevention and cariology and the current President of the American Academy of Cariology.
This course is open to Delta Dental and Dental Wellness Plan participating dentists and office staff. Three continuing education credits will be awarded. There is no cost for this informational seminar.
Sessions are open to Delta Dental dentists and their office staff at no cost. Register by Thursday, March 21, 2019.
