The Green Room: The New World of Work
Posted on November 16, 2021 in Corporate
Companies are experiencing high turnover across almost every industry, with two out of three workers looking for a new job. The next “Green Room,” a conversation series launched by Delta Dental of Iowa, will address how companies adapt employee recruitment and retention strategies. Iowa business leaders are invited to register for “The Green Room: The New World of Work” on Wednesday, December 1 at noon CST. Attendees at this free, virtual event will hear how employers are innovating workforce models and discovering previously untapped candidate pools.
Jeff Russell, president and CEO of Delta Dental of Iowa, will moderate and participate in the panel discussion. Joining Jeff in the conversation will be Nicole Crain, executive vice president, Iowa Association of Business and Industry, and David Leto, president, Palmer Group.
Research shows that a major life event, sometimes referred to as “turnover shock,” will often spur self-reflection on a person’s job satisfaction. While not every shock results in seeking a new job, the level of stress and uncertainty experienced during the pandemic has led to an unprecedented number of employees searching for their next career move.
“No two individuals have the same reasons for making a career change. It’s important for us to examine the mindset of our employees on multiple levels,” said Jeff Russell, president and CEO of Delta Dental of Iowa. “This Green Room will be a robust discussion about how companies can adapt to this new work environment and implement innovative strategies to retain and recruit talent.”
