Delta Dental of Iowa's Green Room will Discuss Iowa Job Trends & Recruitment Strategies
According to Iowa Workforce Development, Iowa’s unemployment rate is at 2.9% and employers across the Midwest are facing worker shortages. Join Delta Dental of Iowa for their next Green Room on “Help Wanted: Trends and Strategies for Iowa’s Workforce” on Wednesday, November 8 at noon (CST).
Attendees at this free, virtual event will hear from Dr. Ron Cox, owner of Midwest Workforce Strategies and April Schmaltz, Delta Dental of Iowa’s interim co-CEO as they discuss Iowa’s population and growth trends and how they compare to other states. They’ll also discuss strategies for finding a variety of workers and how to win the fierce competition for employees.
“Iowa employers face challenges attracting and retaining skilled employees in a tight labor market,” said April Schmaltz, interim co-CEO of Delta Dental of Iowa. “As employers, we need to better understand what’s happening and possibly re-assess our recruitment strategies to overcome some of these concerns. I’m looking forward to the conversation with Dr. Cox, and I know he will share some valuable insights to support this discussion.”
