Permission to Receive Text Messages
I give Delta Dental of Iowa (and other companies they work with) my permission to send me text messages.
Delta Dental may use my health information to create the content of texts sent to me. Some messages may include my name or information about my health.
The text messages may be about:
- Information about my dental plan or payments
- Reminders and notices
- Surveys
- Education and tips
These text messages are not private. Someone else could see or share my messages. If that happens, privacy laws may not protect them. Delta Dental is not responsible if this happens or if messages don’t get to me on time. My phone company may also charge me for those texts.
I do not have to agree to this. Saying no will not affect my benefits, enrollment, or payments. I can also stop text messages at any time by texting back STOP. I can call Delta Dental too. They will stop. Delta Dental may still contact me if allowed by law or if I contact them first.
I must give Delta Dental my current contact information and update it when it changes. If I am a DWP or DWP Kids Member, I can call 888-472-2793 to make changes. If I am a Hawki member, I can call 800-544-0718 to make changes.
