DeltaVision Free Vision Clinic

The DeltaVision Free Vision clinic, a volunteer-led, free, vision clinic is coming to Cedar Rapids on June 26 and 27, 2024. Services will include a comprehensive vision exam and glasses, if needed, during the two-day event. 

The vision clinic is hosted by Delta Dental of Iowa Foundation in partnership with Eastern Iowa Health Center, Prevent Blindness Iowa and OneSight EssilorLuxottica Foundation, a national nonprofit providing access to quality vision care and glasses.

Volunteers Needed

OneSight is providing the vision exam equipment, glasses, and clinic management. We are currently looking for ophthalmologists, optometrists, opticians, and medical professionals to provide vision care. The two-day clinic is expected to provide care for over 400 patients and requires the following volunteers:

  • Ophthalmologists and Optometrists (eye health, refraction)
  • Skilled volunteers (opticians, medical and vision professionals, and students for visual acuities, autorefraction, dilation and tonometry, frame fitting)  
  • General volunteers (data entry, other duties) 

Event Details

What: Free vision clinic – includes comprehensive vision exam and glasses if needed  

When: Clinic hours from 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26 & Thursday June 27

Volunteer shifts: Volunteers needed from 8:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Full and half-day shifts available.   

Where: Linn County Public Health Building - 1020 6th St. SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52401

Who: Adults, seniors and children

Clinic Details

On average, patients will spend 90 minutes to two hours in the clinic. To serve 200 patients through the clinic each day, we will have six lanes for vision care services. View all clinic details here.
