Why did I receive a bill to pay for dental services?

It could be that the service is not covered under the plan. There are some services that are covered, but members can choose to “upgrade.” For example, under the Hawki plan, white fillings are covered, but only for front teeth. For the back teeth, silver fillings are covered. If a member wants white fillings for the back teeth, they would be responsible for paying the difference between silver and white fillings.
