Attention DWP & Hawki Dentists: Effective July 1, there are two dental carriers for DWP and Hawki. Between July 1 and September 30, 2026, both dental plans will have to pay for claims even if your office is not in network with that plan. You will need to send the claims to the dental plan that the member is currently enrolled with. Learn more.

For bigger dental treatments, a dentist may be required to file a prior authorization before you get a service to see if the service will be covered by DWP based on your specific dental needs.
