In these uncertain times, the overall health of our members, dentists, employees, and business partners is our highest priority. We are continually evaluating the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and want to assure you that we are here for you.

We have developed a strategy across our organization to quickly meet the ever-changing needs of our customers and business partners.  Please see the information below on how we are responding to this situation.

Delta Dental Work from Home Policy

Like many companies, the Delta Dental team has been practicing social distancing since March 16. Our employees are working remotely so we can continue to be here for you and your employees. We are committed to providing exceptional customer service with little to no interruption in our ability to serve our members and business partners. If you have questions regarding your dental and vision plans, we encourage you to reach out to our Team Service at TeamService@deltadentalia.com or 877-983-3582. In addition, our Employer Connection offers many online services such as billing, eligibility and enrollment.

Premium Grace Period

Delta Dental is complying with the Iowa Insurance Division’s bulletin 20-04 related to the COVID-19 epidemic and the resulting economic disruptions. We are here to work with you through this uncertain time. If you need to discuss delaying your dental and vision premium payment, please contact our Team Service TeamService@deltadentalia.com or 877-983-3582 or your Account Manager to determine the best options for you and your employees.

Furloughed, Part-Time and Employee Layoffs

We understand that some employers may be reducing employees’ hours or furloughing employees due to COVID-19 pandemic. If you have any employees who are furloughed or with reduced hours on or after March 1, 2020, we will waive any Delta Dental benefit eligibility requirements through June 30, 2020. We will continue to monitor this situation should we need to extend these dates.

Dental and Vision Benefits

Your dental and vision health is important to your overall health and wellness. We understand that many dental and vision providers are following state and federal agency guidance to limit services at this time. However, if your employees experience an emergency situation, your Delta Dental coverage can provide them with valuable savings on these services. We know many dental and vision offices will be extending hours to meet the extra demand once they are fully operational.
